?ind &owerEJPS has a Power Purhase (greement with&igton &ind arm imited, as part of its ommitment tosupport the development of renewable energy. +letriity is

purhased from the wind farm, whih is loated at &igton,*anhester. The wind farm onsists of twenty/three 011/2ilowatt strategially plaed wind turbines with an estimatedapaity of 1.3 *egawatts 4*&5 of power.

Com.ined C!cle 6ecnolog!EThe newest addition to JPS'generating 6eet is the #1/megawatt ombined yle plantat the )ogue Power Station in *ontego )ay. This plantonsists of three individual units$ two ombustion turbinegenerating units with a total apaity of 71 megawatts andone 81/megawatt steam generating unit. The twoombustion turbines operate on diesel fuel but are apableof onverting to natural gas at any point in the future. -eat

from the e!haust of both these ombustion turbines isharnessed to produe steam by way of two heat reoverysteam generators that are used to drive a steam turbineapable of produing an additional 81 *&.
