An energy crisis is any great bottleneck in the supply ofenergy resources to an economy.
Generally when vehicle is in motion it produces variousforms of energy like, due to friction between vehicles wheel
and road i.e. rough surface HEAT Energy is produced,
Also when vehicle traveling at high speed strikes the windthen also heat energy is produced which is always lost inenvironment and of which we cant make use of.
OR directly we can say that all this energy that we cantmake use of is just the that isabundantly available around us

In this project we are just trying to make use of suchenergy in order to generate an ELECTRICAL ENERGY.
This project will work on the principle of POTENTIAL
ENERGY TO ELECTRICAL ENERGY CONVERSION
A vehicle weighing 1,000 kg going up a height of 10cm on breaker, produces approximately 0.98kilowatt power
So one such speed-breaker on a busy highway, where about 100 vehicles pass everyminute, about one kilo watt of electricity can beproduced every single minute

Improving todays Traffic Lights situations
Electricity Generation from Speed-Breaker
Provide 24X7 electricity in less investment

The word piezoelectricitymeans electricityresulting from pressure
A piezoelectric substance is one thatproduces an electric charge when amechanical stress is applied

Can Generate High Voltages
Continuous Operation
Provide High Light Intensity
One Time Fit & Forget, Trouble Free Operations
Reduces Government Liability
Opportunities of Energy Harvesting Technologies
A steady stream of traffic passing over the bump cangenerate 10-36kW of power

More maintenance is required
Initial investment could be a
problem
Very careful measurements have to
be made

Conventional speed breakers cost about Rs 6,000each
The bumps can each produce between Rs 3 and Rs10.80 of energy an hour for up to 16 hours a day,or between Rs 17,520 and Rs 63,072 a year
Overall, the initial investment is around Rs3.5Rs4.5
lacs per region as each material costs aroundRs450-Rs500

Cannot be applied in RURAL areas where traffic isless and concrete roads are unavailable
Huge initial investment
Dealing with Government organizations

Try to take subsidies from Government toimplement our idea
Currently it is proposed for urban areas only
NGOs for rural development can be involved
A system could be UPDATED further in which
concrete roads may not be needed

Such speed breakers can be designed forheavy vehicles, thus increasing input torqueand ultimately output of generator
More suitable and compact mechanisms toenhance efficiency
