Recommended oils for the gear reducers
In general: For –5°C or colder the viscosity at 40°C should be less than 220 Cst. Do not mix oils of different types even of the same make. Never mix mineral and synthetic oils.
Oil quantity for the subject winch: Approx 80 litres.

Recommended oil types for HPU
The viscosity index "VI" should be above 140 and viscosity class according to ISO VG 32. Minimum allowable pour point -50°C. Other mineral based hydraulic oils, which fulfill the minimum requirements of HLP oils according to DIN 51524 part 2 can be used.

6. NAMEPLATES
In German/English language Material of plates on open deck will be of stainless steel with engraved letters
7. SPARE PARTS 1 set spare parts, according to the DNV and recommendations of "Adria Winch" for operation during 2 years.
8. CLASSIFICATION The winch equipment is to be designed and built according to DNV-GL
9. WARRANTY The warranty period for equipment is two years.
Conditions extended warranties can be agreed with customer.
10. WINCH INSTALLATION
1. The winch must be mounted on specially prepared winch stand facing in correct direction ensuring correct spooling device motion within allowable side forces. Position the drum centerline to be in line with sheave on top of the frame.
2. The surrounding structure must be strengthened to withstand the loads generated by the winch. 3. Drawing with foundations and mounting holes is provided. 4. Winch foundation is to be welded to the deck according to relevant class rules for the subject
vessel. After welding, the welds should be properly cleaned (sandblasted), and painted according to procedure approved for subject vessel.
5. The winch foundation must be performed with top level within tolerances of 0,5 mm in any direction. Check by means of piano wire or similar.
6. Check that the holes of “bore picture” of the winch foundation are within the tolerance of 0,5 mm. 7. When the equipment is positioned on the foundation, check that foundation bolts slip easily through
boltholes. 8. If the foundation is performed with levelling screws and gap for linear compound, do the casting
now, or make final steel liners.
The thickness of the liner compounds must be in accordance with compound maker’s recommendation.

9. After the compound is properly hardened all foundation bolts have to be properly tightened – apply 75% of max allowed tightening torque for the given screw according to standard maximum tightening torque for metric screws of quality 8.8 or inox A4-70 (80) without using lubricants (as MoS2).
10. As the final check of the alignment, all winches will be rotated for 30 minutes in each direction with the bearing temperature and motor load monitored.
11. All hydraulic/electric connections are to be made after the compound is properly hardened and foundation bolts tightened.
12. After the linear compound hardened and all screws tightened, (or the winch is finally placed without casting) place the stop blocks in front of the winch supports (as shown on fundaments drawings). Stop blocks are yard supply.
11. ELECTRIC INSTALLATION
Installation of electric equipment has to be done by qualified and trained staff and according to schemes provided in obligatory documentation. Servicing of the electric equipment has to be done by Adria Winch approved service. Improper electric installation or altering any part of electric circuits or software data can cause severe injuries or property damage.
Electric installation refers to:
Winch electric control cabinet – installed below deck. Pay attention to cabinet hangers – if necessary provide anti vibration custions (yard supply).
Winch control column – integrated on winch – cables passing through penetrations towards control cabinet.
Winch junction boxes – integrated on winch – cables passing through penetrations towards control cabinet.
Bridge control siren-light Additional sirens on deck and bridge Additional emergency control post Cabling schemes are provided in Appendix here.
Cable glands, cable types, deck cable penetrations must be in accordance with applied class rules for the subject vessel and provided schemes.
Keep sensor cables away from power cables – as much as possible. Use shielded cables.
To avoid ground loops the cable screen or armour should be connected only at one end (on the electric cabinet side).
