• LED Technology High reliability and availability with MTBF higher than 1.5M of hours and MTTR < 15 minutes.

• Easy integration on electric and electronic interlocking systems.

• Degree protection of IP65 according to EN60529 and wide working temperature range from -40ºC to +70ºC.

• Designed for easy fine tuning of its position in the field.

• Input voltage range customizable (10 Vac 50/60 Hz nominal by default).

• Power Consumption from 10W or 18W per LED light.

• Internal module of fail detection, reducing the current consumption less than 10% nominal current for interlocking feedback and monitoring. Support cold-lamp pulse test and day-night mode.

• Double electromagnetic wheel sensor for direction detection, with mechanical protection.• Detection including speed up to 350 Km/h.• Easy installation and commissioning without additional equipment.• Smart communication between field units and controller (Counting figures NOT tick per axle highly RELIABLE).• Bus communication between field units to optimize cabling and civil works. Axle Counter

When comparing against a Track Circuit, an Axle counter System:

• It is independent of ballast resistance,

• No requirement of insulated rail joints,

• No track length limitation,

• Better life cycle cost,

• Suitable for complex yard layouts,

• No effect of type of traction.

• etc

But.. the broken rail detection is NOT possible.

Electrans has implemented an optional feature in the axle counter system to perform a broken rail detection.
