Logging in to ElearningThe login name and password for Elearning is
the same as your login and password for Novell and Groupwise
If you incorrectly enter your password into Elearning, Novell, or Groupwise three times in a row you will be locked out of all three applications.To enable your account again you will need
visit the IT Department.
Elearning AccessElearning Access is available to students
wherever an internet connection is available.Due to the size of many of the resources you
will access, a minimum of a cable modem is recommended.
Students using dial-up connections are encouraged to download larger files while they are on campus to ensure they will have access to them.
Recommended Browsers
Mozilla Firefox is the recommended browser for use with our Elearning Environment.
Internet Explorer 6 or 7 may also be used, but if problems occur we recommend switching to Firefox
Class EnrollmentYour instructor will guide you through
enrolling in the Elearning courses. Depending on the instructor, you may already be enrolled in your course, or you may need an enrollment key to finish the enrollment process.
At the end of the semester you will not be automatically unenrolled. If you are still enrolled at the start of the next semester and would like to be removed, please email your instructor and ask them to remove you.
Pop-Up BlockersMany of the resources and quizzes in
Elearning will appear in a pop-up window that can be blocked by tools such as the Yahoo! Toolbar.
To override the popup blocker: While holding the Control (Ctrl) Key click on the desired link. Be sure to keep the Control Key pressed until the pop-up window appears.
ZIP Files.zip files are used frequently in Elearning to
reduce the file size and to package multiple files together into one download.
.zip files can contain any number of different file types
To open a .zip file: right-click on the file and choose Extract Here or Extract To
To create a .zip file: With all the files selected, right click on one of the files and choose: Send To -> Compressed Folder
