RESPONDING TO PARENT FEEDBACK

2015-16 Parent Feedback 2016-17 Changes

District meetings were

taking up too much time

• ELA DAC fully integrated with Superintendent Parent Forum

(SPF)

• Eliminated extra session post-Forum for ELA-DAC members

Parents wanted more

interaction and discussion

• More breakouts and time with subject-matter experts in small

groups

• Created optional and elected ELA-DAC Board opportunity

post-Forum for parents

Need leadership training • Launched Family Leadership Institute (FLI) with focus on

vision, values, communication, and organizing for parents

• ELA break-out at the Family Leadership Institute for parents

to sit down with ELA experts
