the progress of engine tech-

nology, in particular for high-

performance diesel engines and

gasoline engines with direct

fuel injection – the technologies

The cylinder-head gasket guaran-

tees a reliable seal between

the cylinder head and block for

combustion gases, engine oil

and coolant – both from the

atmosphere and from within

the engine. It also acts as a

power distributing element

between the cylinder head and

the crankcase, and as such

has a considerable influence on

the distribution of forces and

cylinder distortions within the

engine.

Metaloflex multi-layer metal

cylinder-head gaskets: Made of

beaded, elastomer-coated

spring-steel layers. For virtually

unlimited freedom for the engine

designers.

• Single or multiple layers,

depending on the application.

• With elastic beads for macro-

sealing extreme ignition

dynamic stresses.
