เริ่มใช้ในกจิการทหารในรูปการส่งกาํลังบาํรุง
ใช้ในประเทศ และข้ามโลก
แบ่งเป็น 4 ระยะ
- 1950 - 1964 - เป็นยุคของการผลิตนํา มีการรบกวนทางการค้า เริ่มมีการกระจายสินค้า
มีการจัดการ พยายามลดต้นทุน
- 1965 - 1979 - มุ่งทัง้การให้บริการลูกค้าและรายได้ มีการจัดการวัสดุ เริ่มใช้ระบบ
คอมพวิเตอร์ เปลี่ยนจากปฏกิริยาตอบโตเป็นการมีกจิกรรมที่ทาํไว้ รองรับ
- 1980 - 1990 เกดิความไม่แน่นอนในเงนิลงทุน และพลังงาน มีอัตราเงนิเฟ้อ ประสบ
ปัญหาด้านแรงงาน มีการขยายการร่วมทุนของหลายชาต ิ(MNO :Multinational Organization) เริ่มรับรู้เดี่ยวกับโลจสิตกิส์ มีการ
ตดิตาม สินค้า
- 1990 จนถงึปัจจุบันเป็นยุคสารสนเทศ การใช้ระบบ EDI และการจัดการซัพพลายเชน
