On behalf of the European Golf Association, I would like to extend a warm
welcome to all competitors, officials and supporters to the 2016 International
European Seniors’ Championship.
Sincere thanks go to the Spanish Golf Federation for organising this
Championship as well as to the officials, staff and volunteers who do so much
to make this event possible.
I also extend my thanks to the members and officials of Pula GC for allowing
us the privilege to play this championship on their magnificent and
challenging course.
This event is an important one with many past winners in the field. It is
without doubt we will see golf at its highest level.
I would like to wish you all much success, an enjoyable championship as well
as many fond and lasting memories.

It is a great honor that Pula Golf Resort has been chosen to host this year’s
International European Seniors’ Championship.
After hosting 7 European Tour tournaments and with the support of the
Spanish Golf Federation, I am sure that the competition will be a great success
and the players will enjoy the design and the shape of our golf course.
Finally, I want to wish you a nice week in Mallorca, with the best possible
weather, delicious restaurants and the relax of the North East Region of the
Island.

On behalf of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation I am pleased to welcome all
participants of the International European Senior Ladies’ and Men’s
Championship in Pula Golf, Mallorca.
Pula Golf has a large and recognized professional experience in
commissioning and organizing tournaments of great importance, including 7
editions of European Tour Opens. It has great facilities, great golf,
redesigned by Jose Maria Olazabal between 2004 and 2006 , and above all,
the staff and the President at the front have worked hard with the
preparations for the overall success of the competition. My gratitude to
Romeu Sala, President of the Club for his warm welcome, and presentation of
the course in magnificent conditions.
June is a wonderful month in our country, and in particular in Palma de
Mallorca, so I trust your stay will be unforgettable, I hope you will enjoy the
hospitality of this beautiful island, and that the good weather will accompany
us throughout the week.
It is a great honor for us to host this great competition, and I look forward to
seeing you all at Pula.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Accommodation
The Royal Spanish Golf Federation has reached an agreement through Eventos 90 S.L with the following hotels with special rates for the championship.
Pula Golf Resort: Next to the Golf Club.
Apartments Villa Pula Golf: Next to the Golf Club, along the left hand side of the 1st hole.
Hipotels Eurotel Punta Roja: In Costa de los Pinos, 10 minutes’ drive to the Golf Club. To keep the special rates, bookings must be made through Eventos 90 S.L, by e-mail:

Caddies
No Caddies will be available Please note: A competitor is prohibited from having a professional golfer serve as his caddie during any stipulated round.
Penalty for Breach of Condition: two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round: four strokes. In the event of a breach between the play of two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole. A competitor having a caddie in breach of this condition must immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred ensure that he conforms to this condition for the remainder of the stipulated round. Otherwise, the competitor is disqualified.
Catering
The Clubhouse’s snack bar will be extended to the players, Championship Committee, championship
staff, sponsors, guests and Press for the duration of the championship. Different food options will be
available from 15 €.
Club House
The clubhouse facilities will be extended to the players, Championship Committee, championship staff,
sponsors, guests and press for the duration of the championship. Clubhouse passes will be issued to
identify those people entitled to clubhouse access.
Course Guide – Yardage book
A Championship Yardage Book will be available for each competitor upon registration at the information desk at a cost of 15 €.
Distance Measuring Devices
According to the EGA’s decision, DMD’s will be permitted in the competition.
Driving Clubs / Conforming Golf Balls / Groove and Punch Mark
Condition.
The specimen conditions in the Rules of Golf are in effect regarding Conforming Driver Heads (page 154-155) and Golf Balls (page 155-156). The specimen condition in Decision 4-1/1 of the Decisions on the Rules of Golf (Groove and Punch Mark Condition) is in effect.

Golf Bags
Golf bags may be stored at the Golf Club.
Golf Shop
The golf shop provides a wide range of golf equipment and clothing during the championship.
Information Boards
There will be information boards located in the clubhouse. Players should have a look at the
information boards at regular intervals as important information will be displayed relating to tee times,
messages etc.
Information Desk
The information desk will be located in the reception area of the Golf Club.
Local Rules and Conditions of Competition
At registration, each player will receive the local rules and the conditions of competition. Any additional local rules or conditions of competition will be handed to the players by the starter at the latest, before
any stipulated round.
Lockers
A certain number of lockers will be available for the participants, being allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Medical Service
Permanent first aid medical service will be provided during the whole Championship.
Payment possibilities and currency exchange
The golf club accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, Master Card, American Express and cash
payments in Euros. Currency exchange is available in Mallorca.
Practice
The official practice days are Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8
th June.
Each competitor is asked to book his practice rounds directly with the Golf Club: Tel: +34 971 817 034 – e mail: [email protected] There will be practice areas including range area for chip and pitch shots and a putting green.
Press Office
There will be a press office with the necessary equipment in the clubhouse. National Federations wishing to send press representatives should return their Press Requirement and Accommodation forms by 16 May to
Registration
Players are asked to register at the Information Desk upon arrival, on Tuesday June 7th
from 08:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00 as well as on Wednesday 8th from 08:00 to 12:00. All details concerning the championship will be given at registration. Each player will receive a folder including all the championship information.
Trolleys
There will be enough pull-trolleys available free of charge.
A limited number of electric trolleys will be available for players. Electric trolleys can be
booked by returning the booking form. They will be allocated on a first come, first served
basis.
Transportation
No official transport will be provided during the championship.
We strongly recommend rental cars. At Palma Airport, all main rental cars companies are represented.

THE VENUE
In The North – East of Mallorca, by the town of Son Servera, is Pula Golf, a
complex which combines golf, cuisine and a hotel in a pleasant, exceptional
and exclusive setting which is at the same time very personal and unique.
Surrounded by nature parks around the town of Son Servera and the bay of
Cala Millor, lies the prestigious Pula Golf course. It is an 18- hole that has
become one of the most important courses in the Island of Mallorca and has
been the venue for international tournaments .
And to spend some time relaxing, there is the “Café de Pula”, a place where
you can have a drink in the elegant main hall or on the terrace with panoramic
views over the golf course. Or you might enjoy an exquisite, specially ordered
private meal. Very close to Pula, in SonServera, Cala Millor, Cala Bona and the
Costa de los Pinos, or in Capdepera and Cala ratjada (just 10 minutes away by
car), there is a wide variety gourmet dining options, with an accent of meats,
fish and fresh seafood of the highest quality.
Pula Golf was founded in 1995 and completely redesigned by José María
Olazábal between 2004 and 2006 in order to satisfy the demands of
international and professional golf. It has been transformed into a large and
neat golf course, par 72 of 6.246m and par 70 for professionals.
The large Driving-Range can be used from both sides with one side covered.
The Short Game area offers one large Chipping green, one pitching green for
shots up to 30 meters and one Pitching green for shots up to 65 meters. Two
Putting-Greens right next to the Clubhouse round up the practice area.
Pula Golf has become the scene of very important events like the PGA European
Tour Championships Mallorca, Mallorca Skin Games or Olazábal & Nadal
Invitational, among others.
Bourdy, Hanson, Jiménez, Gonzalo Fernández Castaño, Álvaro Quirós, Olazábal,
Darren Clarke, Molinari, Kaymer, Sergio García, Rafael Nadal and Pep
Guardiola… are some of the great personalities that have played in Pula Golf.

LOCATION – How to find us (Airport – Pula Golf)
From the airport, take the MA-15 main road, direction Manacor. At the first
roundabout of Manacor, keep driving on MA-15, direction Cala Rajada (3rd
exit). At the roundabout of Sant Llorenç (where you will see a petrol station),
take the MA-4030 main road, direction Artà, Son Servera (2nd exit). Once you
have passed by Son Servera, keep driving in the direction Capdepera (2nd exit
in the roundabout). Later on, take the detour on your left where Pula Golf and
Café de Pula are shown on a big panel. Please take the second street to the
right (not the one close to the main road leading to the windmill); it will lead
you to the hotel parking. Now you arrived at Pula Golf Resort – Petit Hotel Ses
Cases de Pula.
ELECTRIC TROLLEY RESERVATION A limited number of electric trolleys will be available for the tournament. Bookings will work on a first come, first
