Wonderland Senior Senior Project Overview: In this project, students became marketing executives for an amusement park. They used a variety of programs in Microsoft Office to complete a wide range of job duties. To start, students created a poster and exhibit placards using Microsoft Word and the Internet. Next, they created a graph with Microsoft Excel based on a consumer survey. They designed an electronic billboard to attract visitors using Microsoft PowerPoint. An invitation to a park event was made with Microsoft Session 1: Create an Amusement Park Students learn skills such as inserting and formatting text; clip art, pictures, and shapes that allow students to create a professional looking and attention-getting document that will be sure to entice people to visit the amusement park. Session 2: Research an Animal Exhibit Students conduct Internet research about an animal exhibit in the amusement park then apply their skills to locate animal facts. Session 3: Survey a New Attraction Students conduct a survey to learn which types of amusement park attractions are most appealing. They use Microsoft Excel to organize the survey data on a spreadsheet and create a chart to graphically portray the results then write a report. Session 4: Advertise a New Attraction Students use PowerPoint to publicize an attraction in the amusement park, students is tasked with the assignment to create an electronic billboard. They design a series of eye catching slides using text boxes, pictures, clip art, and WordArt. Transitions and animation are applied to the presentation and it is saved as a video. Session 5: Invite Guests to an Event Students invite season ticket holders to the opening of an exciting new attraction. Using Microsoft Technical Skills: Database, Desktop Publishing, Graphics, Internet, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Word Processing. Technology Integration: Business Studies, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Visual Arts. Wonderland
