Teaching Scholars Program
Celebrating its 11th year, the Teaching Scholars’ Program focuses on principles and theory of curriculum design and evaluation through an 18-month commitment of twice-monthly didactic sessions and development of a focused project addressing curriculum design or evaluation. The scholars’ participation culminates in a peer-reviewed poster or oral presentation at the annual Education Symposium.

Teaching Certificate Program
This teaching skills program by the Academy of Medical Educators is designed for
basic science and clinical teachers and fellows and senior residents who wish to im-
prove their direct teaching skills. The program consists of a half-day workshop, five
courses focused on teaching skills, followed by six observed teaching experiences
or a multi-station Observed Structure Teaching Evaluation (OSTE) and begin their
teaching portfolio.
