• Effective July 1, 2014, Prometric assumes responsibility for the licensing examinations, prelicensing and continuing education services.
• Pearson VUE will continue to administer the licensing exams and review provider/course applications until June 30, 2014.
• Prometric exam registration service will be available on June 15, 2014. Candidates will be able to schedule their examinations for test dates on or after July 1, 2014.
• Examination fee remains $75 per LOA

Overview of Licensing Requirements
• Candidates must complete 20 hours prelicensing class for major lines LOAs and 16 hours prelicensing training for navigator license.
• Candidates should review the Wisconsin Licensing Handbook for exam and licensing requirements. (currently available at www.prometric.com/wisconsin; available in print in July)
• Candidates can register online to take the exam at www.prometric.com/wisconsin.
• Candidates must make fingerprint reservation online at www.fieldprintwisconsin.com.
• Candidates must apply for the license online on Vertafore at www.sircon.com or NIPR at www.nipr.com.

Annual Exam Review Workshops
• Annual in person meetings in Madison, WI. Estimated to begin in Spring 2015.
• Recruitment of subject matter experts.
• Emphasizes Prometric’s commitment to our practice of reviewing examinations, items and content outlines.
• Remain current with regulatory and statutory changes.
• Provide recommended revisions, additions and deletions to the content outlines and examination items resulting from our monitoring activities are made in accordance with the state and Prometric.

• Effective July 1, 2014, CE courses will renew every 2 years at the end of the month in which the course was approved. All CE courses that have renewal dates of 6/30/2014 or earlier will not be updated until after the renewal has been processed.
• All CE course renewals 6/30/2014 or earlier will be charged the current fee ($10 per credit not to exceed $40)
• All CE course renewals for July 1, 2014 or later will be charged the new fee of $8.75 per credit, not to exceed 4 times the credit hour fee per course (not to exceed $35).
• Starting with the July CE course renewals, the renewals will generate 60 days in advance rather than 77 days in advance.

Application Approval
A provider application approval must be made no later than 60 days following the receipt of the completed application and all information required.
A course approval must be made no later than 30 days following the receipt of the completed application.

Renewal Each school/course renews on August 30th each odd numbered year after approval.
Provider renews on July 31st of each even numbered year after approval. Course renews at the end of the month after 2 years from the date the course was approved. Note: a course may only be renewed if it has not substantially changed since it was originally approved.

How do I get started? Go to www.sircon.com, click on the link for
Education Providers and fill out the Vertafore provider registration form. Vertafore will send you login information via e-mail and call you with the secure password for your account.

Monthly Invoice and Billing File
• The provider/school will receive a monthly invoice for all transactions processed during the previous month
The monthly invoice contains a summary of fees for each type of transaction processed in each state
Provider can also download a copy of the invoice on Compliance Express
