husband Tommy lost their little girl to cancer last year and this fundraiser was held in her honour. I am happy to say that together we raised over $1,500 through our work, with all money donated to Red Kite in Veronica’s name. Tommy Maric sent through the following words of thanks to our Dalmeny families… On behalf of our family I would like to thank the Dalmeny community whole heartedly for all your love, support and generous donations made to the Red Kite Foundation in memory of our daughter Veronica Gabriella Maric. Please know how much we appreciate all your support in making Mrs Maric’s transition back to teaching, which she is so passionate about, such a seamless and comforting process. It’s the simple “good morning” smile or the “how are you feeling today?” enquiries that enable her to get through each day. To Mr Reedie and all who have contributed to making this event possible, thank you for organising such a special day in memory of our angel. We stand here as proud parents who are blessed to have had Veronica in our life. She is our example of love and strength and we hope that she can inspire your lives as much as she has ours. Let’s always remember to keep all those little children still battling with illness in our

thoughts and prayers. Thank you Tommy Maric School Calendar At our last P&C meeting, the request was made to publish a school calendar to notify parents of events a month in advance. This request was made to enable working parents ample opportunity to arrange time off work to attend events at school. Whilst I understand this request, I am worried that changes to a calendar published so far in advance (many of which are outside of our control) may lead to frustration for parents. As a compromise, I have extended the calendar published each fortnight in this newsletter to include more longer-term events. For example, today’s calendar on the front page, shows events up until Tuesday 24 July. Often dates are slotted into the calendar with short-ish notice, so please ensure you watch this space for changes and download the school app to keep up to date with events at school.
