The subject of the thesis is about to create a transformable space that adapts to each new situation in the old distict of Madrid as rehabilitation plan of the old prexisting market ¨Mercado de la Cebada¨. It explores how urban colectives can adapt a building to the changing needs along time. Half urbanism,half architecture, the building helps to recover the spoilt neighborhood with urban strategies

For a full understanding of the site several breakdowns where executed no only on the physical materiality but also on the intangible. Giving as result that for a correct approach on how the nodes interact between each other a Situationist interpretation on their activities and the human being was necessary.

To propose any space is necesary an exhaustive anaylize of the sourrundings, specially when that space is a landfill that seems empty on a superficial look but it is full of environment inputs.

Multifunctional center for a impared zone of Madrid where there are usually done festivities and urban markets. Using prefabricated structure of scaffold is created a wide open space where small modules hung from the structure and supported on the ground take needs of aconditioned spaces.

A big community above the city of santiago de chile who uses a modular structural system to fly above the city in a utopical form with living spaces made of shipping contai-ners. All the living activities occur in theInterstitial platforms. With the idea of continuing with the footprint of the original plot and completing the residual spaces, a series of planes are proposed, making similar to the various planes of height of the city. In the same way the volume contains streets on a smaller scale already facing the user in which the idea of sharing free space is maintained.

The habitat is based on the premise of having reached a level of technology facilities such that these are the ones that turn out to be the articulating nucleus and the need of a primary structure is no need anymore. Application of Reyner Banham theories ¨A home is not a house¨.The central core groups both the folding furnitureas the facilities and is the one that allows maintain the inflation pressure of the enclosure.Once in place, the central axis deploys the facilitiesand is anchored by the habitat to the ground. The drop down habitat allows mobility while keep a fully functional space based on the basic humans needs .Fictional situation that resolves real and possible need of a researcher living in hard habitats for short periods.

WHY

Digital fabricated pavilion for Seoul MakerFaire with tradi-tional Korean wood joinery. The wood represents ¨the real world¨ and the inflatable ribs ¨the imagination-ideas¨. The building was assembled in one day by a four people group. Showroom, simplicity, economy and easy construction were the key words in this project. Gross floor area of 60 square meters.
