Bantwana Initiative of World Education is in charge of strengthening the capacity of partners, referrals and networking
Main focus is increasing access to, coverage of and uptake of TB and HIV&AIDS services in East Central Uganda

Context to Organizational capacity
The selected organizations were taken through Organizational capacity assessment(OCA) Looking at 7 domains; Governance, Management systems, Sustainability, information systems, performance management and service delivery
CSOs were supported to develop capacity building strategies
STAR-EC support ed 3 prequalified CSOs and other 5CBOs through a competitive granting mechanism

Challenges Limited information sharing- exchange visits and dialogue sessions were used to resolve the this challengeLimited sources of funding- Organizations have been supported to write and submit proposals for funding from other donors- some organisations have improved on their IGAs

Organizations are more responsive to interventions if addressed individually through mentorship
If well facilitated CSOs have the capacity to effectively deliver services in hard-to-reach areas
If well coordinated CSOs will work to complement services rather than look at each other as competitors

What to gain from the model
Using a multipronged approach to capacity building ensures ownership of capacity building interventions through a participatory process
The multi -pronged approach to capacity building will help implementers tailor the best interventions to individual organization since “NO ONE SIZE FITS ALL”
