    Final Year Project:Title: The Investigation into the Creative Approaches of Spatialisation forAlternative Rock Within the 10.2 Surround Sound Standard.

    This project investigated spatialisation techniques for surround and elevatedspeakers. The techniques were then used on a post-rock composition, which waswritten and recorded myself. The objective of this project was to make the listenerfeel both surrounded and covered by sound.

    Communication: From previous work experience I had daily contactwith customersandwork collegaues from different departments. I learnt how important it wasto listen to others in an effective and attentive manner.I learnthow tocommunicate ideas and concepts clearly both verbally and in writing.

    Problem Solving: From many previous projects that I have completed, I had been thrown intothe deep end on some of these projects. In these projects I had no previous

    knowledge on the topics or how to use the certain computer application.Iwas able to research these topics and make logical decisions. All of theseprojects turnedoutsatisfactory.

    Work Experience

    Lifeguard April 06 to present Baltimore Leisure Centre, Cork

    Responsible for the health and safety of every person that uses the facilities. Reception duties that include; welcoming customers, carrying out transactions, customer

    queries/complaints, book keeping and cashiering duties.

    Also responsible for the opening and closing of the centre, stocking of productsand operating of pool, gym, sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi equipment.

    Keeping the facilities and equipment clean and hygienic.Production Intern Sept 10 to Feb 11 Eiremedia Productions, Limerick

    Part of a small company that worked very closely together as a team. Involved in research and pre production for events, interviews and video recording. Undertook video editing and music composition. Aided in web site administrations. Representing the company at public meetings and events.

    Festival Intern July 10 to August 10 Cork bySouth WestMusic Festival, Cork Promotion of the festival through social web sites and also by handing out flyers and

    posters. Aided in the set up of the festivals main stage. Helped out keeping a smooth transition between musical acts. Meeting and greeting some of the festivals artists.

    Interests Technology: I have a big interest in computers and technology. I like to keep up to date

    with modern technology by reading through articles online. Music: I both play and listen to music on a daily basis and I regularly attend concerts.I

    played the bass in four bands over the last eight years which all had gigs regularly. Movies and TV: I regularly attend the cinema to watch the newest films, I also like to watchmodern documentary, drama and comedy shows on TV.

    Sport: I am very interested in keeping fit, I regularly attend the gym and swim daily. References Available upon request
