Modern Architecture VS. Gothic Architecture
The Gothic style was introduced from France, where the various elements had first been used together within a single building at the choir of the Basilique Saint-Denis north of Paris, built by the Abbot Suger and dedicated in June 1144. The earliest large-scale applications of Gothic archi-tecture in England are at Canterbury Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.Modern Architecture or Modernism was a prod-uct of the mid-20th century. Famously coined as the International Style by Reyner Banham, the Modern style was linked notably with Le Cor-busier and central European and generally west-ern architecture.
Wheres the colour?
All modern buildings built city are all built with such dull colours. grey or white.Wouldnt it be so much better if there was some colour?
Many people dont con-sider graffit to be art and dont consider graf-fit artists as reall artists. How can some say this is art when all they’ve done is put some junk
together ? Then they say that this piece which took hours isnt art.
The Statement
Is he destroying art or creating space for new art ?
