Modern Architecture VS. Gothic Architecture
The Gothic style was introduced from France, where the various elements had first been used together within a single building at the choir of the Basilique Saint-Denis north of Paris, built by the Abbot Suger and dedicated in June 1144. The earliest large-scale applications of Gothic architecture in England are at Canterbury Ca-thedral and Westminster Abbey.
Modern Architecture or Modernism was a product of the mid-20th century. Famously coined as the International Style by Reyner Ban-ham, the Modern style was linked notably with Le Corbusier and central European and gener-ally western architecture.
