PRODUCT REVIEW POLICY (circa 1991) Advertising space is not sold on the basis of a receiving a favourable review. We highlight the positives and how negatives (if any) were improved. Does it meet the claims on the box? If the reader purchased the model or product based on the article would he or she be satisfied with the information supplied? After the proof has been sent to the reviewer the article is not changed without the writer’s consent. In the interest of accuracy a copy is also sent to the advertiser for comment. Provided it is abundantly clear to the reader that writer is affiliated with the product or service, advertorials may be considered on merit.

The monthly cycle and free on-line publication helps put the news back into RCM News.
This magazine is modelled along the lines of a newspaper. That form of media has been refined over the past two centuries. Sim-ple simple layouts have proven to offer the easiest read experience.
FREE DIGITAL MAGAZINE** To maximise circulation we’ve modified our 1990s Plans Serv-ice experience to this millenium. By harnessing the propensity of modellers not actually wanting to pay for a plan by getting it from a mate who paid the cover price of the magazine, we give the digital away for free. For convenience readers can download it on their smart phone then send it to their tablet, laptop or PC for an easier reading experience. Or send it to a friend.
The Digital edition is interactive with hyperlinks to your website Articles and reviews with flying tips can be linked to our You Tube Channel. This is not about slick video productions, rather short grabs. Most readers are interested seeing the model take off and land.
The print copy was available by subscription. Advertisers can also purchase copies for customers used to grabbing their copy from the newsagent. * Unavailable until further notice
The commercial reality is that a fair percentage of RC retailers do not send beginners to model clubs. For as long as I have been flying, RC aeromodelling has experi-enced a 25% turnover per annum. New people are starting out all the time we cover the basics and more advanced information.
Rather than repeat basic beginner information that bores the expe-rienced modeller, Flyboys Pilot Notes feature E Flite Apprentice S, Multiplex Fun Cub and ARES Gamma 3570. Our $2.00 eBooks are written as a Pilot Operating Handbook for people coming off drones or RC cars with information of how to actually fly the model. Since 1991 RCM News has be-come known as the most informa-tive RC magazine.
An affordable regular advertis-ment here generates qualified leads. Information on Social Media is quickly forgotten and soon becomes quite to hard to find again.
