Smooth Transition

In the scene where the hooded Arthur takes his hood down, theshot switches but the line carriesover “Come on shot switch! "ouknow I#d never hurt $ou%& 'ecause we didnt have a ver$ good micaudio was a lot harder to record to agood (ualit$& Instead of having thisshot switch audio mid wa$ throughto something sounding furtherawa$, I bridged the audio from thefirst shot over to the second and got

Arthur to mouth the lines& I alsomade sure that the cut was )ust ashe took his hood down to make ita**ear like a smooth transition&

Clone Effect

+ne of the shots in the se(uence features Arthur having a conversation with hisdouble, this is an editing techni(ueknown as the clone# effect& It is a goodtechni(ue to use as it looks good but iseas$ to do&

-& Set u* camera and record one side of

the conversation&.& Don#t move the camera and record the

other side of the conversation&

/&  0hen editing cut the shot into twose*arate shots with each side of theconversation on&

1& 2lace one shot on to* of the other

3& Cro* the shot on to* to the *oint wherethe double can be seen&

4&  0hen adding filters etc& to the shots, doe5actl$ the same on both shots&

Stabili6ation

A few of the shots weren#t stableenough and made the se(uence lookun*rofessional, the shakiness wassomething that I fi5ed with thestabili6ation tab in Final Cut& +nee5am*le of this is the final shot which

is a slow 6oom on the door toem*hasise something going on behind it& This shot needed to besmooth to draw the audiencesattention to the door rather than theshakiness in the shot&

Effects

Aside from basic colourcorrection I also used thesame filters7effectsthroughout the entirese(uence& The twoeffects I used were the

letterbox effect and thecold steel effect& Theletterbo5 is used to makethe se(uence morecinematic and cold steel was used to create a better colour balance to

ever$ shot in these(uence& I customisedthese effects to m$*references then addedthem to the ever$ shot&
