Contingency Plan - Editing Room: E21- Recording and Editing Radio advert Contingency Situation 1: personnel don’t turn up Response 1: have their phone numbers to telephone her or him on their mobile Response 2: If delayed postpone recording for another day Response 3: Have a replacement step in for them Contingency Situation 2: The recording does not pick up sound Response 1: Restart the computer to see if it is a software failure Response 2: Eject the microphones and put them back in again to make sure they are securely and correctly placed Response 3: Contact I.T technicians to see if they can resolve the problem Response 4: Use a small microphone to record the sound Contingency Situation 3: The recording of the voice over does not save correctly Response 1: open in another programme to check it has been recorded properly Response 2: check the file has been imported correctly from the software Response 3: re-record the voice over Contingency Situation 4: Software failure Response 1: turn off electrical equipment. Then try pulling the switch back up to see if the Software needed to be refreshed. Response 2: check the internet to see if there is a tutorial that could help us resolve the problem. Response 3: check with the I.T technicians to see if they can resolve the problem.
