Firstly I imported the animated logo (created separately (then later not used)), and altered the masking setting so that it would overlay the introduction.

Then I went straight into importing the song’s audio track and the first shot of the music video. With each piece of footage I had to unlink the audio track and delete it.

I decided to go back and add some kind of basic transition from the introduction to the first close up shot of the fret board as the change in brightness created an inconsistent feel that distracted the main emphasis of the video.

From there I went ahead and continued importing the recorded footage in order, following the storyboard as close as possible.

As I went along with the importation of the footage I found that there were a few gaps in our video from missing footage mainly from performance and a key missing shot from Ryan’s first sequence.

When organising the footage into the relevant shots by number to help increase the speed at which I could import footage without having to keep reviewing the shots every time, I found that there was a lot of behind the scenes footage as well as a lot of unusable footage.

When transitioning into Chris’ first sequence, once again I had to use a basic transition, a fade as the sudden change in brightness again created an issue.

Due to the large amount of significant missing shots I had to create a temporary place holder sign so that during feedback it would be noted that more work was required.

When it came to editing the close ups of the walking shot it was easier to overlay all three shots to make sure they were evenly spread.

During Charlie’s café scene although all the footage was good and worked nicely there was just too much for the time restraints so some had to be removed as shown through the use of ripple delete, bringing all the footage after the shot closer so that there was no gap in the video.

When rendering I just matched the settings of the default footage that being 1920 x 1080p, I used two layer rendering to prevent any frame overlaps or glitches, however I did have to change the format as the wave length meant that there was wavy lines throughout the video when motion occurred which of course had to be dealt with.

When it came to the wide shot, walking shot, we were once again missing the shots, therefore I had to crop and try to align the walking shot of Chris behind the shot of the other two.

After hours of trying I came to the conclusion that the walking shot of Christian was just too shaky and out of align that it would not be possible thus leaving us with another placeholder gap in our final rough cut.

This was then once again rendered out in the same settings and formats as before, therefore producing our final rough cut.
