Choose from our magnificent historic properties; St Leonard’s Hall, Abden House and the beautifully restored 18th-century mansion house hotel, Salisbury Green. We have modern venues too, our South Hall complex and our all new John McIntyre Conference Centre.

St Leonard’s Hall

This grand, opulent mansion house is one of our most striking heritage venues. The interior has wood panelling and period features throughout with a staircase centrepiece travelling up through the heart of the building.

You arrive into a generous entrance hall, the ideal place for your guests to gather and enjoy a glass of bubbly. There are six rooms to choose from, the largest is St Trinnean’s; named after the films that the building inspired. Facing south, with lots of natural light, St Trinnean’s boasts a stunning fireplace, ornate ceilings and magnificent chandeliers.

All the rooms in St Leonard’s Hall have a unique charm and character. The Pollock room on the first floor has wonderful views over Arthur’s Seat. Whichever rooms you choose, you can be sure of an ideal setting for your special occasion.

Abden House

This glorious baronial-style mansion has a truly distinguished air. In its generous, light-filled rooms, with ornate ceilings and impressive chandeliers, you can almost picture the society gatherings of the past. These were rooms designed for entertaining so are perfect for your wedding reception or civil wedding ceremony.

The main room is the Drawing Room, a generous yet intimate space that can accommodate up to 50 guests for a ceremony. The equally ornate Dining Room can host smaller parties of up to 20.

Abden House has beautiful gardens surrounded by mature trees with views to Arthur’s Seat. This is the ideal setting for a marquee wedding for up to 150 guests.

Salisbury Green Hotel

This newly renovated 18th-century mansion-house hotel offers luxury accommodation for you and your guests. There are 36-en suite bedrooms that perfectly reflect the atmosphere and history of the building. There is free internet access, freeview television in the rooms and free car parking outside the hotel.

There are four uniquely styled private dining rooms that are perfect for smaller ceremonies and receptions. Salisbury Green Hotel is the idea venue when used exclusively for your wedding, or as luxury accommodation for you and your wedding party.

This stunning 3-star hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and delivers style as well as comfort.

South Hall

South Hall is an impressive modern building. It is the ideal venue for larger wedding receptions, accommodating up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing or wedding breakfast.

The adjacent Kirkland Room is an attractive open plan area for guests to mingle away from the main event. South Hall has modern flexible lighting which can be altered to give a dramatic or romantic feel to your reception, and a beautiful oak-sprung floor that is ideal for ceilidh dancing.

John McIntyre Conference Centre

The John McIntyre Conference Centre is our newest development, fully refurbished and extended for 2009. The new Pentland suite offers you a wonderful space for up to 150 guests for dinner and dancing. Wedding receptions for up to 100 guests can be hosted in the beautifully bright and airy Prestonfield room.

There are in fact six rooms on the first floor linked together by our contemporary bar Centro. Centro is the perfect place for your guests to relax and chat over drinks, while you have your photos taken with the picturesque backdrop of Edinburgh’s famous natural landmark, Arthur’s Seat.
