    2. As a class, read pg. 248-249, stopping to ask questions as indicated in the margins of TE(pg. 248-249)

    3. Students should take notes and record information on their Study Guide while we read;they can continue working on their Study Guide when we finish reading.

    4. Ask questions listed in the margins of the TE as an ongoing check for understanding.5. Pass out blank sheets of paper and have students design their own national flag using

    craft supplies.

    6. CLOSURE: Discuss the review on TE 249.

    F. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding?

Students will be assessed verbally by instructor during entire lesson. Questions asked

and discussions will be used to offer instant feedback and assess for understanding.

Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson.By verbally communicating with students as well as asking questions to check for

understanding will show students understanding of the concepts from the lesson.

    G. Reflection:1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach?

I think the easiest part to teach will be the concept of nations and the different

national flags. By incorporating the craft of making their own national flag students

get kinesthetic as well as audio and verbal learning.

    2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? The most challenging part to teach for this lesson would be keeping the students

interested and engaged in this lesson.

    3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? To extend this lesson I would refer to TE 248 taking a look at Nelson Mandelas lifeand how he worked for freedom.

    4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? For my students that dont grasp the concepts, I would spend more time working

with them in small groups or individually while the students are working on their flag

    craft.

    5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change?I think this lesson is very well planned out, I dont think I would change anything. I

would highly consider using this lesson plan in the future.

    6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? When writing this lesson plan the most difficult part was deciding on the assessment,

as this is a huge factor in lessons because we want to know if our students

understand and what is it that they do not understand. I really find the assessment a

tough part of lesson plans. I dont want to overrun students with multiple tests and

    quizzes.
