• Pilot program began in the fall of 2005
• SACS gave final approval of program in 2006
• 8 students enrolled in the program in the summer of 2005
• 24 students were enrolled by spring of 2006
• 79 students currently enrolled in the Ed.D. program

• 60 Total Hours• Cohort• Core Leadership Courses – 24 hours• Research Courses – 6 hours• K-12 Courses – 21 hours• Treatise – 9 hours

Structure of the Ed.D. Program
• Classes meet on the main DBU campus in Dallas• 3 weekends per semester – all day Friday and Saturday
- Fall dates: Sept 16-17, Oct 21-22, Nov 18-19• Summer symposium – 7 to 10 days
- First summer: Regional- Second summer: Austin, TX- Third summer: Washington D.C.
• Projects, papers, and reading between class meetings• Treatise to be completed on a self-paced time frame
