COPD Treatment
• Oxygen– Most have baseline sats of 88-91% with mod/severe disease– Hypoxic drive
• Bronchodilation– Beta-agonists i.e. albuterol
• Decrease mucous production– Anticholinergic i.e. atrovent
• Decrease inflammation– Steroid therapy
• Treat infection or underlying cause• Similar to asthma treatment
