As part of a special promotion in participation with several Central Texas auto dealerships, ECU purchased bicycles to donate to Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots helps so many kids have a happy Christmas, so that organization was an easy choice for ECU. We reached out to several dealerships about partnering with us on this and they were excited to come on board to help us donate bikes to kids,” said Monica Krenek, VP of Lending. Participating dealerships included Apple Sport Chevrolet, Apple Sport Ford, Bird-Kultgen Ford, Chevy of West, CMC Auto Group, Douglass Nissan, Gibbs Outdoor, Gloff Motors Clifton, Jeff Hunter Toyota, Jim Turner Chevrolet, Mark Holcomb Group, Marstaller Motors, Stanley Chevrolet-Buick-GMC, Stanley Dodge Gatesville, Stanley Ford McGregor, Sykora Family Ford, University Mazda Kia, Uptmore Motors and Woodway Car Center. Two positions are open for election on the Board of Directors this year. The nominating committee, consisting of Kim Patterson, Tony Clines and George Snokhous has nominated incumbents Mr. Raymond Weldon and Mr. Edward Hernandez to each serve a three year term.

Mr. Weldon retired from Waco ISD where he was principal at Mountainview Elementary. Mr. Hernandez works for the City of Waco as an Inspector. These two nominees have been reviewed and certified by the nominating committee as meeting the requirements and qualifications of a board member. They have each agreed to serve if elected.

Bylaws do not allow for nominations from the floor. However, any member of legal age desiring nomination may do so by presenting a petition with 200 signatures of primary account holders. The petition form and instructions are available at the Highway 6 location and must be returned to that office by February 7, 2020. If you have any questions, please call 254-776-7900 or come by our Main Office at 501 W. State Hwy 6, Waco.
