Description
The course includes an overview of the world andnational energy situation. It includes the analysisof steam, gas turbine, combined cycle, internal
combustion engine, solar thermal, hydropower,solar photovoltaic, and wind power plants.Technologies and feasibility of using biomass asan energy resource are also analyzed. The
environmental and social impact of the differentenergy conversion systems is studied. The courseincludes an introduction to energy efficiency inindustry and design for energy efficiency.
