The girls learned that bartering isthe exchange of personalpossession of value for other goodsthat you want. The girls excitinglyshared their own experiences with
bartering their goods with others.Ginger shared her story of Supply& Demand when she sold herFlubber to a park full of children.

In February, we discussed how dowe make money and income. Thereare three types of income: Earned
Income, Portfolio Income, andPassive Income. We looked at asample paycheck with all of thenormal deductions, and the girlswere amazed at how much smallera paycheck looks after deductionsare taken. We talked about ways

Towards the end of February wetook a field trip to Central PacificBank in Kailua to see customersactually banking. We had a shorttour of the ATM machine room aswell as the vault with the safedeposit boxes. Misu Green of CPBshowed us how to wrap money andfill out a deposit slip. We left with

I was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii however I currently reside inKaneohe with my husband Mike and two sons Jacob and Justice. I was
originally introduced to banking and finance in 1991, while working forBank of Hawaii. I assisted customers with their daily financial needs andtransactions, with superior customer service. Although, I loved thecustomer interaction, I longed to learn more about finance and business. Idiscovered Edward Jones in 2001 and after six years became a FinancialAdvisor. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s of Science, in Business Management. I had the pleasure of educating theemployees of Castle Medical Center in 2009, and I am always looking foropportunities to educate individuals on the fundamentals of investing. Ialso teach Financial Workshops at the Windward School for Adults –Spring, Fall, and Winter sessions. I am so pleased to have the opportunityto teach the young girls of Huakailani School and it is my hope that I caninstill change with financially educated children.
