Smart building is an innovative building method that is
a clean answer to the inefficient , slow and polluting
building tradition of the past decennia.
Smart building is based on three main principles:
1) Industrialization of the building process
2) Flexible building for life
3) Materials and process are Eco-friendly

1) The ECOnomic House is steel based and needs
NO CEMENT and NO WELDING !. The bolted
steel framework, the interior and exterior
architectural features are industrially produced and
can be made anywhere in the world.
2) The ECOnomic house can always adapt in all
directions by its modular and dismountable design
and can be transported in a container.
The ECOnomic House can follow your life.
3) Manufacturing the parts and assembling the house
is a clean and fast process, and produces no dust .
Local construction materials and labour can be
used. 100% recycling can be achieved.

ECOnomic housing for Angola
112010 ECOnomic Housing
Tebodin’s design team took the challenge and designed a
comfortable living for Angola according the following criteria:
• affordable with 110 m2 of floor space and indirect day
light
• safe for water from flooding rivers heavy or rain
showers
• self-sufficient in energy
• adaptable in time and should fit in a 20 feet container

Ground floor
The Ground floor under the house is where the container is stored temporary or permanently.
People can gather outside in the shade under the house. The owner can use the container as a storage
for belongings, a car park or as a little shop. There is an entrance stair to the first floor, keeping water out.

ECOnomic Housing Angolan Navy
For the Angolan Navy, Tebodin designed two concepts for an
adaptable and relocatable ECOnomic House that can vary
on demand in size, interior plan and material types.
The houses are standing 30 cm lifted from the top soil to
prevent animals and insects entering the house and to allow
heavy rain flow under it. The house reacts positive to soil
settlement and soil movement unlike conventional housing.
This generic navy home has a pleasent interior plan with a
kitchen and bathroom included. Solar power is optional.
The house can be manufactured for T3, T4 and T 5 housing.

Solar power
The SUN is the most important energy source.
The ECOnomic house comes with a solar roof that produces
3,5 kW to 5 kW. It provides enough electrical energy for
cooking, lighting and air-conditioning. For large communities we
can connect the houses to a smart grid with power back-up.
Sustainable Energy
Opportunities to save energy are becoming more attractive all
the time. The current high energy prices give new sustainable
technologies the chance to emerge and develop, while
traditional technologies can still be improved.
In the constantly changing world of energy, Tebodin has shown
to have the right know-how available for every business case.

The ECOnomic Quarter consists of 40 to 50 livings, sharing
their own park and/or play field. The houses have solar power,
a flushing toilet, a bathroom and kitchen. Sewerage can be
treated by a natural waste water treatment system which
needs no chemicals and produces clean water that can be re-
used for the flushing toilets or a grey water system.

us familiar with your corporate identity. Knowledge of city planning, architecture, HVAC, logistics
and finance lead to a suitable design, tailor made. Sustainability is a very important value for
Tebodin which means that we will advise you in sustainable solutions for energy, materials, water
and electricity. A sustainable design has to equal a sustainable investment.
