In the Stock Market Game our best stock was Apple and our worst was Kellogg. We bought shares of these companies, too: McDonald’s, American Express, and Pepsico. They didn’t increase or decrease too much. We learned a lot about real world economics and investments. We learned to buy low and sell high.

By participating in the Stock Market Game we learned that everyone had an equal chance. We had little to no knowledge of stocks but by using teamwork and contributing ideas we ended up enjoying our time working on it. We learned that stocks can fluctuate more than you expect – good or bad. We ended up learning very useful skills for future stock and business experience. Our investment strategies seemed to work quite well in terms of finding rising stocks. Our main strategy was finding lower priced stocks and looking at the 52 week high and low to see if it was going to rise substantially. Thank you to the National and Virginia Council on Economic Education for setting up this program. - Linkhorne Middle School
