SEMINAR FACILITIES
The training and meeting rooms can accommodate the whole group of participants. Many national and international associations choose as a conference place the Danubius Hotel-Sovata. Most of the associations are even organizing periodically such events here. The larger rooms are also the ideal for poster exhibitions.
The conference room will be equipped with overhead projector for the oral presentation. Between the sessions, the organizers have foreseen coffee breaks. Participants will have their lunches at Hotel Danubius-Sovata.
The Seminar Secretariat will be in charge with the participants’ registration, proceedings distribution (only for participants, who had paid the fee), additional information flyers concerning the seminar and it represents a real support for the participants attendance to the scientific program.
The Seminar Program includes: papers presentation, strategies development based on national and international partnership, panel discussions on the topic: The Mining Activity Integration into the European Space - Ways of Sustainable Development. Within the framework of the Seminar, a training course is included entitled: ECOMINING Platform – knowledge enlargement & sustainable partnerships.

For oral presentation, the participants can use a computer and an overhead projector.
IMPORTANT: The participants should send by e-mail their scientific paper(s), according to the typing requirements (Typing requirements.doc) until 30th July 2007 at: [email protected], [email protected].
Papers received after the mentioned deadlines will not be published in the Proceedings (book and CD).
Also, the organizers would highly appreciate if the participants of the ECOMINING Platform meeting would send them topics of great interest for the discussions.

In order to reach Danubius Hotel-Sovata, where the International Seminar takes place, the organizers recommend Henri Coandă (former Otopeni) International Airport and Târgu-Mureş Airport (www.carpatair.com), via Timişoara. The nearest railway station is Sighisoara. Danubius Hotel Sovata is situated in one of the most famous spas in Transylvania. Sovata is a town renowned for Lacul Ursu (Bear Lake) heliothermal lake, which exact date of forming is known, namely: 27th May 1875. The fresh water on the surface of the lake acts as a protective coating against the loss of heat accumulated in the salt water from the depth. Danubius Hotel-Sovata is 150 m distance from Lacul Ursu. Praid Salt Mine is situated at 12 km from Sovata, in Praid. The deposits exploitation from Praid dates back in the Roman Ages and continues even nowadays, being one of the biggest salt massifs in Europe. The salt block has a slightly elliptical shape, with diameters of 1.2 km and 1.4 km and a depth of 2.7 km, having reserves for thousands of years, being an invaluable treasure of the Transylvanian economy. Praid Salt Mine is also famous as a heath care center, starting with the 60s. On a distance of 1,250 m from the entering to the health care center, the persons’ transport is provided by buses-
belonging to the salt mine–through the coast gallery. During the summer, the number of persons visiting the mine and those who undergo a cure here reaches 2,500 – 3,000/day.
