By now we hope that you've noticed how we have our ver y ow n greenhouse by the corner of our proper ty - the enti r e thing was 100% designed and bui l t by Ecohousers! Having a greenhouse for our community means we can tr uly have a r egenerative system: we grow food there, eat i t for Har vest Dinners (or just great snacks), put any leftover food scraps in the compost bin, turn over the compost r egular ly, then use i t to help grow more food in the greenhouse. Here's how you can help compost and ensure that we have the r ight stuff in that compost to keep our system going strong!

Put your food scraps in your small compost bin in your room (the decorated tupper ware container ) or just take i t str aight dow n to the big "bumblebee bin" in the ki tchen. When your small bin or the big one in the ki tchen is ful l , empty them into the compost pi le in our backyard. We suggest doing i t at least once a week to keep i t from getting stinky/attr acting fr ui t f l ies. Rinse i t out and star t again!
