eco friendly homes

Passive Solar House: In my opinion this is the
ultimate when it comes to eco houses. It works on
the principle of building a super insulated home
that uses the sun, you, and your appliances to
generate heat and then not let it escape. I know it
sounds too good to be true but it does work.
However there are several aspects that need
consideration before opting for this method
Earth Sheltered Homes: These are homes that are protected by being dig into the side of a hill, buried or having earth piled up against their walls. They are warm all year round and have lots going for them. But there are downsides!
ICF Homes (or Insulated
Concrete Form
Homes): This is a relatively
modern eco-construction
technique where concrete
is poured into pre-
assembled polystyrene
forms (or moulds). It has
lots of benefits such as fast
construction times and very
good air tightness but it
does also have some down
sides.
WINDOWSSystem with a glassU = 5.7 W / (m2 / K) with a glass system there is no other element that would prevent the loss of heat. System with two or three windows: U = 2.7 W / (m2 / K)In systems with two or three glasses, there is a space between the glass filled with air which prevents heat loss. With the use of systems with two or three windows, will not only prevent the loss of heat in environmental but we will contribute in using energy more efficiently.
LIGHTING
Lighting is an integral part of the facility, but in many other parts of electrical appliances in resplendence are beginning to apply systems that will save energy.
LED system (Broadcasting diode light),. LED lights do not contain mercury, which is harmful, does not require maintenance and are designed to work with up to 50,000 hours.
The advantages of LED are:
Energy saving up to 80%,
Their life expectancy is 13 years or 50,000 hours
Are not sensitive like classic bulbs
Shine up to 8 times more than the classic bulbs
Green Tip: Improve Air Quality
Green Tip: Choose Nontoxic Cabinets
Green Tip: Look for Recycled Countertops
Green Tip: Buy Energy-Efficient Appliances
Green Tip: Install Water-Saving Features
Green Tip: Invest in Green Flooring
Green Tip: Maximize Energy-Saving Lighting
What makes these homes special and different from others is that
they are built with ecological recyclable and renewable materials
we want to move towards a
low-polluting, sustainable society, we
need to get consumers to
think about their purchases.”
