Venues range from an intimate 10-seat function room to the grand Pavilion which can comfortably cater for 4,500 cocktail guests. The Sandton Convention Centre is spread over four main levels with multiple venues, offers ample secure parking and a highly skilled and experienced team.
Johannesburg in South Africa is the second largest city in Africa, with more than 3 million people calling this bustling metropolis home. Joburg, or Jozi as some prefer to call it, offers visitors an experience as unique and diverse as the city itself.
Johannesburg is a young city that is yet to celebrate its second centenary, and already it has an incredible history and legacy.
The settlement sprang up in 1886 when prospectors found gold in the area now known as the Witwatersrand. When the discovery became public, thousands flocked here in search of fortune and new opportunities.
Today, Johannesburg still attracts those who want to realise their dreams and achieve success.

traVel to JohaNNeSurGJohannesburg is geographically fairly centrally located in South Africa, and as the biggest urban conurbation it’s also the largest transport hub – for local, cross-border and international travel.More international carriers fly here than any other city in southern Africa, and there are direct flights to most African cities, New York, Sao Paolo, Buenos Aires, the major European cities, the Gulf, Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and three Australian cities. London is an 11-hour flight away, and the time zone is close to Central European Time.Within South Africa it’s worth popping online to compare prices between discount carriers like Kulula and Mango. The regular airlines often offer competitive prices so don’t forget to check them out too. Remember that peak times are more expensive, so try and plan your flying during the week and during the day. Durban is an hour’s flight, Port Elizabeth 90 minutes and Cape Town 2 hours. For more information visit: www.joburgtourism.com
