ECLYPSE™ Connected Equipment Controller Overview The ECLYPSE Connected Equipment Controller is designed to satisfy the needs of a wide range of HVAC applications such as small and medium terminal applications. It integrates a control, automation and connectivity server, power supply, and I/O in one convenient package. It supports BACnet/IP communications and is a listed BACnet Building Controller (B- BC). In addition, the ECY-303-M3 model supports Modbus to connect to meters, Variable Frequency Drives, etc. This programmable controller comes with an embedded web server that enables web-based application configuration and a visualization interface. It also features embedded scheduling, alarming, and logging. Control logic and graphic user interface can be customized as required for the application. Applications The ECLYPSE Connected Equipment Controller meets zone application requirements, including: £ Rooftop unit, fancoil unit, small air handling unit, heat pump, and chilled beam £ Lighting, power monitoring, and other applications. Open to Web ServicesWith the RESTful API, the ConnectedEquipment Controller’s data can be accessedfrom different applications, such as energydashboards, analytics tools, and mobileapplications. The RESTful API documentationexplains the implementation protocol for thisinterface.

Preloaded Application and GraphicsThe Connected Equipment Controller is a plugand play device that saves time and moneysince no programming or graphic design isneeded as it comes with ENVYSION™ Viewerand the associated preloaded rooftop unitapplications and graphics pre-installed.Also, no additional tools are required; only aweb-browser is needed when you are using thepre-loaded application through ENVYSION. Ifthe pre-loaded application does not meet theapplication requirements, you can program itusing EC-gfxProgram.

HTML5 Visual InterfaceThe Connected Equipment Controller comesembedded with ENVYSION Viewer andxpressENVYSION.

ENVYSION Viewer – Web-based graphical userinterfaceThe embedded ENVYSION viewer provides fastloading of visual applications through native webpages with absolutely no browser plug-ins. Hostand view preloaded graphics, and accessschedules, alarms, and trend logs directly fromyour Connected Equipment Controller.

Itsupports BACnet/IP for faster communication incomparison to the traditional twisted paircommunication bus.

Multi-Protocol SupportThe Connected Equipment Controller optionallysupports both Modbus TCP devices byconnecting them to the controller’s IP networkand Modbus RTU devices by connecting themdirectly to the controller’s RS-485 port.Controllers with the Modbus communicationsoption can integrate a wide variety of Modbusdevices such as power and water meters,Variable Frequency Drives, air flow sensors,and more, without the need for additionalhardware such as a gateway.

FIPS 140-2 Level 1 CompliantFIPS 140-2 Level 1 compliance provides anenhanced level of security to protect data thecontroller is collecting and sharing making itsuitable for use in the most sensitiveenvironments.

Weather ForecastThe weather forecast is directly available fromthe internet to be shown on a connected ECx-Display or to be used by the controller’s code.

Smart Room Control SupportThe Smart Room Control solution is an end-to-end system for the control of HVAC equipment,lighting, and shades/sunblinds, achieving thehighest levels of comfort for occupants whilecutting costs from installation time and wiring/material requirements to energy consumption.This solution combines:£ Lighting and shade/sunblind expansion

£ Allure EC-Smart-Vue sensors feature abacklit-display and graphical menus thatprovide precise environmental zone control,with any combination of the following:temperature, humidity, CO2, and motionsensor.

£ Allure EC-Smart-Comfort sensors featurecolored LED indicators to provide userfeedback, rotary knobs to adjust the setpointoffset and fan speed, and an occupancyoverride push button. This sensor can alsobe expanded with a combination of up to 4add-on push button modules for lighting andshade/ sunblind control.

£ Allure EC-Smart-Air sensors combineprecise environmental sensing in a discreetand alluring enclosure for temperature,humidity, and CO2.

MobilityThe controller can be remotely accessed toprogram, configure, or maintain the installationthus reducing costs associated with on-sitevisits. Software Configurable OutputsFor greater flexibility, two of the controller’soutputs can be software configured to functioneither as a universal output (0 or 12VDC, PWM,Floating, 0 to 10VDC, 0 to 20mA) or as a digital24VAC triac output.

I/O Status LEDsThe status LEDs allows the user to confirm thestatus of the inputs/outputs and facilitatecommissioning and troubleshooting.

Color-Coded, Rising Cage TerminalsTerminal blocks are uniquely identified andcolor-coded for clarity and to prevent wiringmistakes. The rising cage clamp terminal blockconnectors offer a more robust and secure wireconnection, designed to withstand activity andvibrations.

Robust ProtectionThe I/Os are protected against mis-wiring andfaults to prevent damage caused by incorrectwiring or other mishaps.

Alarms, Trend Log, Schedule SupportEmbedded alarms, trend log and schedulesupport allows for fully distributed data and logicproviding a more robust system. Embeddedtrend logs simplify system troubleshooting whencompared to a centralized system.

Email Notifications ServiceTechnicians & facility managers can receiveautomatic email notifications for system statusand alarms to ensure faster system servicingand response time. Email notification text canbe customized to provide pertinent informationabout the issue at hand.
