The person I was when I first entered the Tambayan was notthatdifferentfromthepersonIamrightnow.Istillhavethesamereligion,thesameprinciples,thesamevalues.

First Vice NightBeingtheoutgoingpersonIwasbefore,ittookawhilebefore

I experienced my first vice night. As a first-timer, the primary goal forthenightwastoexperienceitfully.YouknowwhatImean.Itwasaneffortforagoodboysmokerwhoonlysmokestotakeintoxicatingdrinks.Buteverythingseemedtobefallingattherightplace—anemptystomachafteratiringdayandgoodcompany.Youknowwhat’snext.

Thetitleof theeventdoestoomuchlabelingfortheevent,Ihavenoticed,whenwell,infact,it’slikeabetterTBS—yougettobondwithyourfellowmembersandyougettoknowtheapplicantsbetterwithouttheneedtobecompetitive.

Withacupof coffee,Pael’smagichilod,andfriendswho

won’t let you sleep on the pavement, I was able to survive my first everalcoholism Last Vice Night

Alessonforthekids:eat, sleepandbemerry, forinfourthyear, YOU DIE. After three years, you will finally reach a satiation pointforyouralcoholicneeds.Whoknewthisdaywouldcome?That’swhenyourealizethatthetrade-off forthesecrazy, wildnightsof intoxication is actually a night of meaningful conversations filled with three buckets of nostalgia. Crazy, yes. Wild, most definitely. Youpauseandwonder, heydrinking, whysoserious?

First Ecosoc momentItisn’thardformetopinpointwhereitallbegan.Thetipping

point of my college life was my first encounter with Ecosoc. What started out as a joke that backfired (thanks again, Inna) resulted tothebiggestresponsibilitythatIhaveeverhandledbackthen.Ibecame a full-fledged leader right after my first Ecosoc moment. Thepressurecomingfromtheamountof responsibilityandtheeuphoriaemanatingfromthepositionlastedinmeuntiltheendof theapplicationprocess.Whowouldhaveguessedthatitwasastartforme?

AndwheneverIreminisceandtracemybeginningsinEcosoc,Ineverfailtobeamazedathowschemesarelaid.Andrightafter,theonlythingthatcomestomymindwasalways:thank you.

Last Ecosoc momentWhenyou’vegotnothinglefttodothanworryaboutyour

You reflect on your beautiful spectrumof grades,witheachnumberhavingadifferentstory.Youthinkbackatthetimeswhenyoucould’vedonethis,should’vedonethat.

Youmightnotclearlyremembertheevents,butyoumostdefinitely remember the people.
