Prior to founding Ve'Ahavta, Rav Neuwirth served from 2008-2016 as the Rabbi of Ohel Ari Congregation in Ra’anana. Sunday, October 22 •1:00pm-4:00pm • The Chesed Committee is pleased to present a visit to the Chihuly Exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens. Join us as we enjoy together breathtaking works of art that dazzle with color, light and form in a privately guided tour. Artworks by the world-renowned Dale Chihuly are on view in his first major garden exhibition in New York in over ten years. On exhibit are more than 20 installations including drawings and early works that reveal the evolution and development of Chihuly’s artistic process. Set within NYBG’s landmark landscape and buildings, the Garden’s dramatic vistas become living canvases showcasing Chihuly’s signature organic shapes in brilliant colors. Buses will leave from Lincoln Square Synagogue promptly at 1:00pm. Help Keep West Side Judaica Alive!

Zachary Rothblatt is currently in his third year of semicha at RIETS. A Teaneck-native, Zachary has learned previously at Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh and Ner Israel Rabbinical College. He holds a Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins University and is currently pursuing an additional masters in Bible and Talmud at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies. Zach has a wide range of interests, from early photography to knowing the Norwegian national anthem. He looks forward to building a relationship with the members of Lincoln Square and to grow spiritually with them. Zissy Turner is an MA candidate in Yeshiva University’s Graduate Program for Women in Advanced Talmud Study (GPATS) and the Bernard Revel School of Jewish Studies. An alumna of Queens College, Zissy graduated with a BA in Neuroscience, with Dean's List honors and a nomination to Phi Beta Kappa. During her time on QC campus, she interned for the Orthodox Union’s Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus. As intern, she facilitated programs and initiatives to engage, teach, and help build a vibrant Orthodox community on campus. Prior to becoming Community Intern at Lincoln Square Synagogue, Zissy served as Congregational Intern at Kesher Israel, an Orthodox synagogue in Washington, DC. She is a Wexner Graduate Fellow/ Davidson Scholar.

Jeremy Perlow , a native of Northbrook, IL, studied in Israel at Yeshivat Shalavim for two years before returning to Yeshiva University to earn his B.S in Accounting. As an undergraduate student, Jeremy served as the President of the Halachipedia Club, Senior Editor of Yeshiva University's Talmudic journal "The Lamdan," and assisted other students as a Resident Advisor. While completing his undergraduate degree, Jeremy simultaneously began his studies as a semicha student in Rabbi Issac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS). The following year, Jeremy joined the RIETS Katz Kollel, served as the Youth Director in Congregation Ohav Sholom in Merrick, NY, and led a weekly kollel at the East Hill Synagogue in Englewood, NJ. Jeremy has also served as the Rabbinic Intern at Congregation Keter Torah in Teaneck, NJ, and the Summer Rabbi of Congregation Ohav Sholom in NYC. Currently, Jeremy is a fourth-year RIETS student, a Judaic Studies teacher at Bi-Cultural Day School, and is pursuing a

M.A. in Jewish Studies at Bernard Revel Graduate School a with a focus in Bible. Jeremy's passion lies in inspiring others to develop their personal connection with the Torah and its timeless lessons, and he is greatly looking forward to meeting the LSS community!
