The BBC holds that “X" comes from the gathering of Members of Parliament and peers in the hallways of Houses of Parliament before and after parliamentary debates. One story states that the term originated at the Willard Hotel in Washington, DC, where it was used by Ulysses S. Grant to describe the political wheelers and dealers who frequented the hotel's lobby to access Grant—who was often there to enjoy a cigar and brandy.
The term “X" appeared in print as early as 1820 however it has gained maximum popularity in the last three months.

X started out as a works team for employees of electronics conglomerate Philips on 31 August , 1913 to celebrate the centennial defeat of the French in the Napoleonic wars. X's home stadium, the Philips Stadion, then known as Philips Sportpark, was built at the same time as the inauguration of the club, although its current capacity was achieved by renovations and improvements over the years.
Because of their close ties with Philips, X have had the same jersey sponsor without exception since 1982, the year jersey sponsorships were introduced in the Eredivisie.

Aviation XY was one of India's first post-deregulation airline, launched in May
1993 by the Indian industrialist X, in technical partnership with the German flag carrier Y. The airline project was started in February, 1993 by X, Ashutosh Dayal Sharma and Kanwar K S Jamwal and on 5 May 1993 took the first flight from New Delhi to Mumbai. The airline actually started operations within three months of its conception - a record of kinds in itself. It maintained very high standards in flight safety, ground maintenance and on-time performance, owing to a strong support from Y . The airline ceased operations in 1996. However, the air-operating certificate (AOC) of XY did not lapse and the airline though bankrupt was renamed Royal Airways and the AOC was used with a different set of promoters such as SpiceJet following the low cost model.

Trivia King Khan was treated to a unique visit while shooting for My Name is
Khan in San Francisco. Before finding the Badshah of Bollywood, Chouw and Mouw mingled with the folks of San Francisco and even posed for snaps. On landing up on the sets they headed straight to the vanity van with ‘Rizvan' on it. The security tried their best to stop them but they screamed out of for SRK. They were in luck. King Khan heard them and made his way out to meet them to the surprise of the whole unit. Chouw and Mouw spent a few days in San Francisco with SRK. Shahrukh took special care of Chouw and Mouw and introduced them to the entire crew on the sets of the movie My name is Khan. In fact, Chouw and Mouw had free access to the entire set. The entire crew took an instant liking to them for their lovable and gregarious nature. They were seen mingling with everyone and helping out in the various tasks on the sets of the movie. Who are Chouw and Mouw?

In February 1981, X crashed his Beechcraft Bonanza while taking off from Santa Cruz Sky Park. X did not immediately return to Y after recovering from the crash. Instead, he married his present wife Clark. More than anything else, X wanted to became a teacher, a goal he wouldn't be able to achieve unless he earned his college degree. X returned to UC Berkeley under the name "Rocky Raccoon Clark" (Rocky was his dog's name and Clark his wife's maiden name), finally earning his undergraduate degree in 1986. A more noteworthy point is that X co-founded one the most successful organization of present times all before he could even get a degree.
