Mission Statement: The Mission of the Department is to inspire and motivate the students to acquire knowledge to develop and serve the industry and society with great zeal. It aims to impart value based technical education of global standards and transform the students into disciplined, talented citizens of impeccable character, fused with hands on training to make them good entrepreneurs with an emphasis to develop social, cultural, ethical and environmental consciousness and life-long learning.
I. Prepare the students to have strong foundation in Mathematical, Scientific,
Engineering fundamentals and Communication skills to formulate,
understand, analyze and solve the technological problems and also
assimilate knowledge through life-long learning.
II. Inculcate the managerial skills, basic concepts in Electrical Engineering and
modern engineering IT tools that help the students to work in
multidisciplinary environments.
III. Impart sufficient knowledge to solve complex problems in the field of
Electronics and Communication Engineering for a successful career through
global education standards.
IV. To mould the graduates for approaching the process of formulating a design
solution for the given specifications with optimum performance including
ethical, economic considerations and societal impacts.

ABOUT FDP: The department of Electronics and Communications, MGIT, Hyderabad has successfully organized
AICTE sponsored Two week Faculty Development Programme on “Research trends in Digital
Image & Video Processing” during 04th to 16th December, 2017. This Faculty Development
Programme is aimed and designed to provide a better exposure for the participants in the fields of
Image & Video Processing in Research Perspective. A Total of 60 participants which includes
Faculty members and Research scholars from various technical institutions, has attended this two
week Faculty Development Programme. The participants were also taken for two Industrial visits to
the esteemed organizations such as National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, Hyderabad
and Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT).

1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering
fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex
engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics,
natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
