Q.1 [10 marks](a) Draw a circuit diagram of the noninverting-amplifier and give an expression for the
voltage gain in terms of the resistances, assuming an ideal op-amp. Giveexpressions for the input and output impedances of the amplifier. (6 marks)
(b) Find the output voltage in terms of the input voltages and resistor values for thecircuit shown in Fig. 1 , using the ideal op-amp assumption. What is the inputresistance seen by v A? What is the output resistance seen by R L? (4 marks)

Q.2 [10 marks](a) Explain that the semiconductor material has a negative temperature coefficient of
resistance. Define the terms of intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductors. Describe thedifference between n-type and p-type semiconductor materials . (5 marks)
(b) Draw an appropriate diode circuit for each of the following: AND gate, OR gate and
voltage doubler. If V SS = 2 V, R = 1 k in the circuit of Fig. 2 , draw the load line ofthe circuit and mark the end values on it. (5 marks)
