Educare programme in perspective
Strength the programme has a good practical core which could be
upgraded to link with the learning areas in the National Curriculum
Framework (0-4 year)
Weakness
Some outdated information is still used as National assessment material.
Lack of support & mentoring of students during the 18 months practical
period, is a major concern at present.
Needs - upgrade of curriculum content and programme structure
Quality sites in the field to provide quality practical experiences for the
18m period towards an Educare Diploma.
