BUSINESS SITUATION• WDC intended to implement Oracle Logistics Cloud/OTM (SaaS) in-
order to integrate their on premise systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, Quantum, DSOMS for logistics business processes like Trans Order, Order Release, Actual Shipment, Voucher, Foreign Exchange Rate, Tracking Number, Payment Status.
• OTM needs to be integrated with various carriers like UPS, DHL, Fedex, Ceva, Nippon, Expeditors, etc. for processing the invoices (EDI 210), Tender Offer (EDI 204), Tender Response (EDI 990), Shipment Event (EDI 214) on X12 EDI standards. All this integration has been implemented using Oracle SOA Cloud Service.
CHALLENGES
• Integrating 3 different entities running on 3 differentERP systems into 1 single global instance.
• Integrating multiple B2B carriers through SOA CloudService.
• Connecting the WD on premise systems and theOracle SOA CS (PAAS) was a challenge.
