Eaton Authorized Relationship identifiers overview
Communicating a Channel Partner relationship can occur in three areas:
• On Eaton-produced materials imprinted with a Channel Partner logo
• On Channel Partner-produced stationery, vehicles and signage
• On Channel Partner-produced marketing materials featuring Eaton products or services
The examples, at right, summarize how and where to show a Channel Partner relationship.
The Eaton Authorized Online Distributor component applies to an approved group of distributors that meet the program guidelines. Guidance of this component can be found on the next page.
Channel Partner logo Channel Partners may add their logo to Eaton-produced marketing materials.

EATON AUTHORIZED ONLINE DISTRIBUTOR
For use by approved distributors. Eaton Authorized Online Distributor mark For distributors who have been authorized to sell Eaton’s products through their respective websites, this mark should be used to communicate an authorized online relationship and can be used on your:
• Website
• Stationary/Collateral
• Digital Marketing Content (i.e. banner ads, eNewsletters, etc.)
This mark should not be utilized on signage and should only be used when referencing a distributor’s status as an authorized ONLINE distributor. For distributors who are not authorized to sell Eaton’s products online or wish to promote their status as a traditional, counter sales only, the standard Eaton authorized mark and/or collection mark should be used.
Non-online activities, such as collateral, vehicle signage, print
signage, etc, should use the traditional Eaton Authorized
Distributor mark. See applicable pages for appropriate use.
Note: You can however use the Eaton Authorized Online
Distributor mark in collateral or stationary when referencing
your online selling activities with Eaton.

Product series designations connect Eaton’s legacy names to the Eaton brand. Product series are not brands or Eaton organizations. They simply describe a category or set of products.
Use series signatures on marketing materials, and websites. In copy, typeset the series designation.

Backgrounds
The preferred usage of an Eaton Authorized mark or Collection mark is against a white background.
When necessary, the mark may be displayed against a colored, photographic, textured or patterned background.
Whenever the mark is displayed, it should appear as a white rectangle bordered with a black rule. This is true even on black or very dark backgrounds. Backgrounds may abut the rule but may never appear inside the rule.

Using the Eaton Logomark
Use the information at the right for guidance when using the Eaton Logomark. The Logomark must not be redrawn or recreated. The correct reproduction of the logomark can only be achieved by using the official master artwork files.
Clear AreaMaintain a Clear Area around the Logomark—a zone where no other type, art or other design element may appear. The Clear Area is a 1/2X margin surrounding the Logomark with “X” represented by the cap height of the letters in the name Eaton.
SizeThe Logomark may be enlarged to any size required.
The Logomark may not be reduced to less than 7 points high. For smaller sizes, set “EATON” in Univers 55, all caps.
ColorThe Logomark should appear in Eaton Blue on a white background. When that is not possible, the Logomark may be used in solid black or in white (reversed) on another color background.

Using the Eaton Logomark in black or white
When applying the Eaton Logomark to a background, the gray scale value of the background must be determined in order to select the correct Logomark, either black or white. Backgrounds include printed or applied color and imagery.
The Eaton Logomark must always appear in white on backgrounds that fall above 40% on the gray scale, and must always appear in black on backgrounds that fall below 40% on the gray scale.
Compare a background color’s relative gray value to the gray scale chart at right when determining black or white use of the Logomark. If necessary, refer to Pantone (PMS) S325-6 as an accurate gray value benchmark for a 40% gray.

Clear Area
The Clear Area is a zone where no other type, art or other design element may appear. Maintain a Clear Area around all product series signatures using the “X” measure.
The “X” measure can be calculated by using the cap height of the product name line.
Size
The product series signature or product series signature collection mark may be enlarged to any size required.
The Eaton Logomark in the signature may not be reduced to less than 12 points high.

Legacy logos
Use of legacy/acquired logos is no longer permitted. Please discontinue use of all such artwork.
In addition, please remove any of these logos from your signage and marketing communications and work with your sales team and Eaton’s channel marketing team to plan for disposal of promotional merchandise or displays that use unapproved marks.
This is not an exhaustive list of all the legacy logos that are no longer permitted for widespread use. Discontinue use of any logo that is not approved.

Eaton Authorized marks and Collection marks must not be redrawn or recreated from separate graphic or type elements. Their correct reproduction can be achieved only by using the official master artwork files.

Adding Channel Partner logos to Eaton literature
The Eaton Brand Signature is the visual expression of our brand. It consists of two components—the Eaton Logomark and the competency line “Powering Business Worldwide.”
Eaton literature may be co-branded with the Channel Partner’s logo. The Channel Partner logo should visually appear to be about 80% of the size of the Brand Signature.
