A eating disorder is an illness that causes serious disturbance to your everyday diet, like eating extremely small amounts of food or overeating. A person with a eating disorder may have not started out just eating smaller or larger amounts of food, but at some point the urge of eating less or more went out of control.

People with eating disorder eat less because they thing there fat or eating more because of stress or urge.

What is a eating disorder

Extreme thinness A relentless pursuit of thinness and

unwillingness to maintain a normal or healthy weight.

Intense fear of gaining weight. Lack of menstruation among girls and

women. Extremely restricted eating. People with anorexia nervosa see them

selves as overweight people.

Anorexia nervosa

Bulimia nervosa is eating a lot of food at once (called bingeing), and throwing up or using laxatives to remove the food from the body ( called purging). Some bulimics fast (don’t eat) or over exercise to keep from gaining weight. They may hide for binges. People who have bulimia are usually close to normal weight, but their weight may go up and down.

Doctor don't know exactly. Possible causes include feeling stressed out or upset about something in your life, or feeling like you need to be "in control." Society also puts a lot of pressure on people to be thin. This pressure can contribute too.

What causes eating disorders?

It’s healthy to watch what you eat and exercise. What isn’t healthy is worrying all the time about your weight and what you eat. People who have eating disorder do harmful things to there bodies because of there obsession about weight. Stomach problems, Heart problems, Fine hair all over the body, including the face, and Dry, scaly skin.

What’s wrong with trying to be thin?

YES. People with anorexia, the first step is getting back to a normal weight. If you’re very thin you may be put in the hospital. And your doctor will probably want you to see a dietitian to learn how to pick healthy foods and eat at regular times.

Can it be treated?

Mental : causes a lot of stress on you self.

Social : change of personality, also puts a lot of pressure on people.

Physical : lost of weight or gaining

weight. And problems with health.
