Kim Weis Hanover High School Library 10307 Chamberlayne Road Mechanicsville, VA 23116 804-723-3731 [email protected] Students at Hanover High School use EasyBib to organize their research projects, evaluate and cite sources, and create digital note cards. From the digital note cards, students create and print outlines and their Works Cited page. If your school division supports Google Docs, the research paper can be created from this section as well. Objectives: 1. Students will create an EasyBib account that requires an email address and password. Once account is created from school, students will have remote access 2. Students will create a research project folder that utilizes either MLA or APA format. Students will use the project folders to organize research projects from several different fields of study, much like a digital filing cabinet. 3. Students will evaluate and cite sources correctly in either MLA or APA format in the EasyBib Bibliography feature. 4. Students will compose a thesis statement in the EasyBib Notebook feature. 5. Students will create digital note cards containing quoted material or paraphrases and attach the phrases to the correct source citation in the EasyBib Notebook feature. 6. Students will color code and group digital note cards together by topic and drag the topics of discussion over to the right beneath their thesis statement to create an outline in the EasyBib Notebook feature. 7. Students will print their digital note cards, outline, and Works Cited page from EasyBib. 8. If your school division has access to Google Docs, students will compose and print their research paper within this section. citations from EasyBib and Citationmachine? The EasyBib presentation lesson will be modeled by the presenter for participants. The Tutorials available through EasyBib will be explored as well as Source Analysis data. A question and answer session will follow to end the presentation. Thank you for coming!
