EASTMAN High Contrast Positive Film II 5363 and 7363is a medium-speed black and-white positive film that issuitable for making both positive and negative titles. It ialso useful for production of printer effects, such assilhouette and traveling mattes. This blue-sensitive filmcharacterized by high contrast, excellent sharpness, anvery high resolving power.
BASEThis film has a clear acetate safety base with anantihalation undercoat. The backside has an anti-staticcoating with a lubricant.
DARKROOM RECOMMENDATIONSUse a KODAK OCSafelight Filter / greenish-yellow witha 15-watt bulb, no closer to the film than 1.2 metres(4 feet).

STORAGEStoreunexposed filmat 13˚C (55˚F) or lower. For extendedstorage, store at -18˚C (0˚F) or lower. Process exposed fipromptly. Storeprocessed film according to therecommendations in NAPM IT9.11-1992: formedium-term storage (minimum of ten years), store at25˚C (77˚F) or lower at a relative humidity of 20 to50 percent; for extended-term storage (for preservationmaterial having value), store at 21˚C (70˚F) or lower at relative humidity of 20 to 30 percent. For active use, storat 25˚C (77˚F) or lower, at a relative humidity of50 ± 5 percent. This relates to optimized film handlingrather than preservation; static, dust-attraction andcurl-related problems are generally minimized at thehigher relative humidity. After use, return the film to theappropriate medium- or long-term storage conditions asoon as possible.
For more information about medium- and long-termstorage, see NAPM IT9.11-1992, and KODAKPublications H-1,KODAK Motion Picture Film, andH-23,The Book of Film Care.
GAMMAThis film should be developed to a recommended contrgamma of 2.90 to 3.20 (Status M Densitometry with a blufilter).

Notice: While the data presented are typical of productioncoatings, they do not represent standards which must be met byKodak. Varying storage, exposure, and processing conditions willaffect results. The company reserves the right to change andimprove product characteristics at any time.
These photographic modulation-transfer values were determinedby using a method similar to the one described in ANSI StandardPH2.39-1977(R1990). The film was exposed with the specifiedilluminant to spatially varying sinusoidal test patterns having anaerial image modulation of a nominal 35 percent at the imageplane, with processing as indicated. In most cases, thephotographic modulation-transfer values are influenced bydevelopment-adjacency effects and are not equivalent to the trueoptical modulation-transfer curve of the emulsion layer in theparticular photographic product.
