Eastern Kentucky University Field Courses in Biology Early Summer 2016 May 23–June 3 Wetland Design & Restoration Techniques (BIO 599/799) 2 credits. 9:00am-4:00pm. Second week is online only. Instructors: Mr. Tom Biebighauser and Dr. Stephen Richter. May 23–June 24 *Field Ornithology (BIO 599/799). 3 credits. 6:30-11:30am. Last two weeks are online only. Instructor: Dr. David Brown. May 23–June 24 *Wetland Assessment & Monitoring (BIO 599/799). 3 credits 12-5:00pm. 1st week and last 2 weeks are online. Instructor: Dr. Stephen Richter June 2–June 14 Ecology for Teachers (BIO 590/790). 3 credits. 8:30-5:00pm. Instructor: Dr. Melinda Wilder. *Can be taken simultaneously Courses will be based out of EKU’s Maywoods Environmental and Educational Laboratory, including classroom and field-based instruction. Housing at Maywoods will be provided at no cost for students. Wildlife students can substitute Field Ornithology for Ornithology (BIO 554) and Ecology for Teachers is a required course for the Environmental Education Endorsement.
