The time you spend with Jesus in The Blessed Sacramentis the best time you will spend on earth.”

~ St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta ~

THE MONTH OF APRIL is devoted to the Holy Eucharist.“The sacrament of charity, the Holy Eucharist is the gift that Jesus Christ makes of himself, thus revealing to us God's infinite love for every man and woman. This wondrous sacrament makes manifest that "greater" love which led him to "lay down his life for his friends." Jesus did indeed love them "to the end." In those words the evangelist introduces Christ's act of immense humility: before dying for us on the cross, he tied a towel around himself and washed the feet of his disciples. In the same way, Jesus continues, in the sacrament of the Eucharist, to love us "to the end," even to offering us his body and his blood. What amazement must the Apostles have felt in witnessing what the Lord did and said during that supper! What wonder must the eucharistic mystery also awaken in our own hearts!” (Pope Benedict XVI)

“Death is swallowed up in victory.Where, O death, is your victory?Where, O death, is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.But thanks be to God who gives us the victorythrough our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor15:53-57)

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

The right hand of the Lord has struck with power; the right hand of the Lord is exalted. I shall not die, but live, and

declare the works of the Lord.” (Psalm 118)

REAL PRESENCE, REAL FUTURE REFLECTIONS: He Is Risen! “Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed.” With these joyous words from the Gospel on this Easter Sunday, we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection, his victory over death and sin, rejoicing in his Real Presence in our lives. This is the pinnacle of our Catholic life of faith, what drives and inspires us every day to walk ever closer with our loving Lord as we journey toward the Real Future of God’s promise of salvation for those who put their trust and faith in Him. (Dcn. Tom Berg, Jr., St. Andrew Parish) To read more about how we are growing together in the life of faith and discipleship in the Diocese of Columbus, visit www.RealPresenceRealFuture.org.
