LambsThe lamb is a symbol as people thought of Jesus as the Good Shepherd who would watch over them as they were lambs.

RabbitsRabbits are reminder of spring and new life.

Palm BranchesThese are used as a symbol of peace.

ChicksThe chicks are born from eggs and are a reminder of spring and Easter.

Easter DaysPalm SundayPalm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter Day. It is to commemorate Jesus's last journey to Jerusalem, when people cut palm branches to spread on his path as he rode to the city.

Holy ThursdayThis day Jesus ate and drank with his followers. This meal became known as the Last Supper, because Jesus died soon after.

Good FridayGood Friday is the commemoration of the Trial and Crucifixion of Jesus.

Holy SaturdayIn Poland people celebrate Easter with theBlessing Basket. They prepare the basket the Saturday before Easter. Inside the basket they place beautifully colored eggs, bread, cake, salt, paper and sausages. Then they go to church to have the basket of food blessed.
